There is an older trailer trailer that has a private sun deck in a private location.
There is a new 16' x 24' cabin with a loft that needs some finishing inside and outside.
Location/Access
Location is approximately 2 1/2 hours from the Fraser Valley. Driving time is approximately 60 Km from Merritt along the Peachland Connector, and 25 Km on a Forest Service road to Hatheume Lake.
Lease
The lease was renewed on November 25, 2005 for a 15 year term.
Property taxes for year 2007 are $960.48 The lease fee for 2007 is based at 3% of the 2006 assessed land value which was $109,000 or $3,270.00 for 2007. The land was offered for sale in 1989 and never picked up by the owners. An application to purchase the land can be applied for through the Integrated Land Management Bureau.
Things to do
There are many other lakes in the area to fish, hike and canoe
including the famous Penask lake. Some of the lakes in the area
are Pinacle, Petersen, Windy, Pattinson, Steer, Marsh, Neveu,
Walker, Reservoir, Skunk,and Sunset.
There is many hundreds of miles of back roads and trails to enjoy
and explore 4 x 4, hiking, mountain biking or ATV's.
X-Country skiing and snow mobiling are also
very popular in the winter months.
