Front Counter BC at 1-877-855-3222 The Crown Lease was renewed on March 26, 2006,
for a 15 year term with The Ministry of Lands and Forestry. The annual Crown Lease fee
is based on 3% of the annual assessed land value.
The 2015 assessed land value was $184,000. The 2015 Crown Lease fee is $5,520.00
The owners have made application to renew the lease for a new 15 year term.
Hydro is located at the south end of Leighton Lake at the BC Parks works yard.
The roads to Leighton lake are paved, which allows for year round access.
Leighton Lake Stats
Leighton Lake is another beautiful Kamloops lake, of which I have enjoyed fishing for the
famous Kamloops Trout since 1970. Leighton Lake receives the majority of its water from
the falls which cascade down from Tunkwa Lake through out the spring and most of the
summer months. Leighton lake has no fishing regulations in place, and ice fishing is allowed.
