On August 26, 2000, I inspected the property and found some previous development underway for a well and septic system. The drilled well is located on the lower portion of the property near the Loon Lake road. The drilled well head was located and marked with pink ribbon, near a fallen tree. Plumbing and wiring was in ground. The drilled well more than likely has a deep well pump already in place at the time of drilling the well. Some additional investigation on the matter with the Kamloops Health board will be required to confirm additional information.
There is a power pole located near the right hand side of the property near the well. It already has a 200 amp service in place.
The septic system was discovered on the first level of terraced property, and the white cap or end of the septic was exposed.
The second tiered level would make for a lovely building site, with fantastic views of Loon Lake and the mountains. There are two nice homes build on either side of lot 2.
The property has a thick growth of Scotch Pine, and has moderate to steep inclines in several places. I walked about 1/2 of the property which appeared to be levelling out near the top where the present building site was located.
Loon Lake is rated among the TOP 10 Lakes in BC, and would make an excellent retirement home or summer time cottage.
