Red Lake is located 37km from the base of the lower
Tranquille road west of Kamloops. The Elementary
school is located 10km from Red Lake. From down
town Kamloops drive time to Red Lake is approx. 1 hours.

An alternate route to Red Lake is just east of Savona before
the Thompson River bridge that crosses into Savona. This
route is via the Criss Creek road, and is approx. 45 minutes

Red Lake
Red Lake is a typical small Kamloops fishing lake and it
has an outboard motor restriction on the lake of 7.5 kw
or 10 hp. Standard fishing regulations apply.
Red lake is famous for its larger Rainbow Trout and
Eastern Brook fisheries. Red Lake is open to ice fishing
in the winter months. As well as Red Lake there is many
other area lakes that offer very good fishing.
The Red Lake area also offers excellent hunting, trail
riding, quad riding and bird watching around the lake.
Red Lake is very popular with bird watchers and the
many species that frequent the lake.
