The application to split the property in to two lots has been before TNRD for the past several years, and has basically been approved pending a well and septic field on each lot, and some final road improvements. The owners mentioned that a few years ago they had a drilling company and a water witcher, look at the property and within one hydro pole length from the existing power poll they found 8 plus sites suitable for drilling for water. The driller has drilled multiple sites within a kilometer or two of the site and said he never had to go more than 200 feet for water. He says the sites are level and that it should be straight forward drilling.

Directions to property:
Leaving Merritt you take the old Princeton-Kamloops 5A Hwy. towards Kamloops. You travel along Nicola lake and past Stump Lake. When you are past Stump lake heading towards Kamloops you will see the mountain top in the distance at the end of the straight road. You will wind around the mountain which is all part of the property. You will see on your right hand side a tourism sign " EMPIRE OF THE GRASS" . Approx. 200 feet further down the road you will see a culvert on the other side of the road and a dirt road going up the side of the hill to a wire fence. If you take this road up the hill you will need to remove a wire fence to continue on. Stay on this road and wind around the mountain to the top where you will find many awesome views and building sites.
Be sure and use only a pickup truck or 4 wheel drive to access the property, as there is a dip at the road side to cross over.
