by the neighbor. A better trail needs to be built leading down to the lake through the old forest and
brush. This area is native to a lot of wild bird and Bald Eagles.
The distance through the high water mark to the edge of Sullivan Lake is approx. 800'.

Sullivan Lake Stats
Sullivan Lake is located approx. 45 minutes north of Kamloops up the Yellowhead Hwy.
You can access the lake and area via Heffley-Louis Creek Road or Todd Mountain road which
takes you to the World Famous Sun Peaks Ski Resort. You can also use the alternate route via Vinsulla
off the Yellow Head Hwy, which is located approx 5 km further past the Heffley Creek store.
Sullivan Lake is better known as "Knouff Lake". There is two lakes that are joined by a creek,
which is one of the spawning channels for the rainbow trout. The two lakes are also known at Big Knouff
and Little Knouff. Sullivan Lake has 254 surface acres of water, and the mean depth is 32 feet, with a
maximum depth of 79 feet.
Strictly rainbow fishing in Sullivan Lake, which is now classed at a Trophy Lake with a two fish daily limit.
Ice over December to April. The elevation is 3,768 feet. Sullivan-Knouff Lake provides a good
fishery for Rainbow Trout up to 3 pounds, and larger Rainbow have been reported caught over the years.
Fly fishermen should key in on the Chironomid, May fly, Damsel fly and Caddis fly hatches that occur from
May to early July. Fishing the shoal areas and around the islands will bring you the most success.
